Tim stamm

Bonsai Social was founded in 2024 by Tim Stamm. After 20 years in a high stress career, Tim found his passion in the art of bonsai, which requires a level of patience and attention to detail that helped him to de-stress and reprioritize his busy life.

Sadly, like many new bonsai enthusiasts, in his early days of bonsai Tim killed more trees than he cares to admit. But every tree that didn’t make it told another story and taught another lesson.

Today, he brings that unique blend of creativity and horticultural science to Bonsai Social. Tim hopes to guide others to success without the carnage that so often plagues beginners in this hobby: by creating a welcoming experience where people can relax, connect, learn, and discover the rewarding practice of bonsai creation and care.

Tim believes that meaningful experiences are created when people step out of their comfort zone and engage in something challenging, hands-on, social, and memorable. 

Alongside his wife and their son, Tim combines his love of nature, community, and personal growth into a one-of-a-kind social event.
